Tests

ExaParty comes along with a set of test programs.

These can be found under /tests/exaparty/ and should all run out-of-the-box via the provided run.sh scripts. Before you start, ensure that you have configured and built Peano as specified for ExaParty. Notice that some of these will use HDF5 files and hence require the correponding configuration for Peano. See Compile Peano4 For ExaParty.

The tests located in tests/exaparty/hydro-simple-sph-physics are intended to verify that the physics solvers are correct on classic problems. They are well-suited to use as first examples to get familiar with ExaParty.

All of these tests are also available through pytest: tests/exaparty/test_exaparty.py runs the run.sh scripts one by one, and a test passes if its script returns with exit code zero. Run the commands from Peano's root directory:

python3 -m pytest -m "integration and not slow" tests/exaparty # functional tests
python3 -m pytest -m integration tests/exaparty # plus physics tests
python3 -m pytest -m integration tests/exaparty -k sod-1d # one test case
This file is part of the ExaParty project.
Definition __init__.py:1
Definition sod.py:1

The tests are skipped if Peano has not been built with ExaParty. The physics tests are marked as slow. See Pytest-based tests for Peano's Python scripts for the overall pytest setup.
